What to Expect When We Assemble Your Furniture
Furniture assembly is about more than putting pieces together. It is making sure everything is built correctly, sits level and works as it should in the space you have. When your Surrey Handyman arrives, he will look at the items to be assembled, check the area they are going into and confirm the best way to carry out the work.
Checking the items and instructions
We start by checking all parts are present and reviewing the instructions. This helps avoid problems part way through the build and ensures the assembly follows the manufacturer’s guidance.
Preparing the space
Furniture often needs enough room to be laid out and built properly. We make sure there is suitable space to work and position the finished item where it is intended to go.
Careful assembly and fixing
We assemble furniture step by step, making sure fixings are tightened correctly and components are aligned properly. This helps prevent movement, squeaks or instability once the item is in use.
Positioning and levelling
Once assembled, we position the furniture and make small adjustments so it sits level and square. This is especially important for larger items such as wardrobes or storage units.
